French Art Deco Silver-Plated Champagne Bucket, c.1930
An elegant French Art Deco champagne bucket dating to circa 1930, with a beautifully simple tapered form and distinctive stepped circular side handles.
The restrained, streamlined design is characteristic of French Art Deco barware of the 1920s and 1930s, when traditional decorative forms gave way to cleaner lines, geometric detailing and highly polished metal surfaces.
Crafted in silver-plated metal, the bucket has a gently flared rim and subtle banded detailing around the base. The wonderfully architectural handles give the piece its particular character and provide a lovely contrast to the otherwise understated silhouette.
