Pair of Victorian Etched Champagne Coupes – Presented in a Heritage House Gift Box
A beautiful and elegant pair of Victorian champagne coupes, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1880–1900, featuring exquisite etched decoration and presented in a luxurious Heritage House gift box.
These charming antique champagne glasses feature wonderfully delicate, shallow bowls, slender stems and circular feet, creating the timeless silhouette so characteristic of Victorian glassware.
Each coupe is beautifully decorated with an intricate etched Greek key pattern, surrounded by fine geometric borders and delicate zigzag detailing. The combination of classical motifs and finely worked decoration gives these glasses a particularly refined and sophisticated appearance.
The Greek key design, inspired by ancient Greek decorative art, was a popular classical motif during the Victorian period, symbolising continuity and eternity.
Originally designed for enjoying champagne, these delightful coupes are equally suited to serving celebratory cocktails or simply adding a touch of Victorian elegance to a beautifully laid table.
