Vintage 1960s Cut Crystal Square Decanter with Two Antique Square-Footed Glasses

A striking and beautifully decorative vintage cut crystal decanter, dating to approximately the 1960s, presented alongside two elegant earlier cut-glass drinking glasses with unusual square bases.

The substantial square-bodied decanter features wonderfully intricate geometric cutting, with starburst and cross-cut detailing that catches and reflects the light beautifully. Its bold architectural form, broad shoulders and impressive rectangular cut crystal stopper give it a distinctly mid-century character, with influences from earlier Art Deco designs.

Accompanying the decanter are two charming earlier cut-glass drinking glasses, believed to date from the late Victorian to early 20th century. Each features a generously proportioned bowl with decorative cut-glass detailing, a short knopped stem and an unusual, substantial square foot.

Although not originally a matching set, the three pieces complement one another beautifully, with their geometric decoration and distinctive square forms creating a wonderfully cohesive grouping.

Perfect for serving whisky, brandy or other favourite spirits, this attractive combination would make a lovely addition to a drinks cabinet, home bar or traditional country house setting.

At Heritage House, we particularly enjoy bringing together pieces from different periods that work beautifully alongside one another, giving antique and vintage treasures a new lease of life.
