Vintage Heavy Cut-Style Crystal Glass Whisky Decanter with Hallmarked Sterling Silver Whisky Label – Circa 1970s
A wonderfully substantial vintage whisky decanter, crafted from heavy moulded crystal-style glass and accompanied by a beautiful hallmarked sterling silver whisky label. An elegant combination of vintage glassware and traditional English silver, offered together as a charming set.
Dating to approximately the 1970s, the decanter has a classic rectangular form with gently rounded shoulders and an attractive diamond-patterned design, creating the appearance of traditional hand-cut crystal. The deeply impressed geometric pattern catches and reflects the light beautifully, giving the glass a wonderfully sparkling appearance.
The decanter is particularly heavy and substantial, with a thick glass base, broad shoulders and a generous neck. It is completed by a large, multi-faceted glass stopper, adding an impressive finishing touch.
Hanging from the neck on a delicate silver chain is a delightful vintage sterling silver decanter label, beautifully decorated with an ornate floral and foliate border surrounding the engraved word WHISKY.
The label bears sterling silver hallmarks and has developed a lovely natural patina, providing a charming contrast to the brilliance of the glass.
Although the decanter and silver label are from different periods, they complement one another beautifully and are being sold together as a set.
